I’m a postdoctoral scholar at the California Institute of Technology, working under the advisement of Professor Kim See.  I completed my graduate studies with Professor Jamie Neilson at Colorado State University.  I am interested in how solid state reactions take place:  what intermediates form en route to the desired products, and how do these intermediates hinder or promote reaction propagation?  With this sort of information I hope to gain broader understanding of how to direct solid state reactivity towards desired products, and rationally design reactions to prepare new functional materials with applications in clean energy generation and storage.

When not in the lab or in front of my computer, I enjoy reading fiction, making and eating delicious food, and running up and down hills.

Please feel free to look around; do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or comments.
